Grateful List Wednesday, February 25, 2009

I want to start a running post of the things I’m grateful for in honor of the iPhone application that I can’t afford. I’ll start today.

1 – Professors that take role halfway through class … always late!

2 – Internet photos of Mary Kate Olsen so I can emulate her style. Don’t judge me.

3 – Pandora Radio!!! The best music player today.

4 – My new coffee tumbler. I now drink all that I make in the morning instead of throwing it out hours later when I come back and it is cold. Thanks Starbucks!

5 – Rental cars that are tiny and fast. Yay Enterprise!

Being led by the blind,

And lossed in the peaceful,

Right there in the open,

Is a frantic, embarrassing wrinkle.

The panic builds up in you,

Taking over all rational,

Lies start to pound in the chest,

Until your breathing is unnatural.

And then like the shock of feet in cold water,

Her eyes fly open, securing the safety all around,

Revealing the pathetically obvious truth…

And real life starts again.
